As a young man I visited Hammond and was royally received by the Vic Cali family. They took me to the Madi Gras in New Orleans and I had a wonderful dinner at the home of Miss Louisiana. I also got to see the famous Hammond strawberries harvested. I just want to say "Hello" and tell everybody I still remember them.
